Japji Khaira, of Australia surprised everyone when this 5'6, multitalented girl grabbed MISS WORLD PANJABAN 2006 tittle, held on 16th December at Ludhiana. She became first non-Indian Punjaban to win this title. Japji, already a Miss Punjaban Australia, proudly represented the Aussie Punjabis at this grand pageant. Bought up in Sydney and student of Bachelors of Information Technology, she vowed everyone with her dancing skills and also popular Producer-cum-Director Manmohan Singh, who gave her first break in his movie "Mitti Wajjan Mardi" starred opposite superstar Harbhajan Mann. Movie not only gave her popularity but also became style icon for punjabis. She has also pledged to donate her eyes and encourage many social and cultural events around the world.

   Also the stars of the event were Manjosh Bhullar of Patiala, who won 1st runner-up and Harpreet Hanjra of Ludhiana who is also passionate about classical dance, walked away with 2nd runner-up tittle with her awesome solo dance performance on song "mainu pind di kudi naa jani". Rhythm Arora of Jalandhar won tittle of "Beautiful Dance" with her mind-blowing performance on song "Dhola main saari raat nachna". Aman Waraich of Sangrur took away tittle of "Mrig-Naini".  Also Amanjit Warval of Patiala won "Suggad Punjaban" and Harpreet Rekhi won tittle of "Beautiful Bride". "Gidhiyan da Rani" tittle was won by Gurleen Gurelli of Chandigarh. Harsimrat Kaur of Jalandhar also grabbed tittle of "Beautiful Smile". Gidha performance by all the participants was really mesmerizing.

 Presence of Amar Noorie, Bhangra King Sukhbir, Loveleen Purba of Canada, NPS Gill of Australia, Raajie M. Shinde of ETC Channel and Prof. Gurbhajan Gill as judges really made event more important.Event was LIVE telecasted by ETC Channel Punjabi. Anchors of the show were Gurpreet Ghugi, Nirmal Jaura and Meera Virk of Canada. Sukhbir also performed and was having no words to appreciate the event and graceful punjabans.

Really Sabhyacharak Sathh Punjab proved that like other previous shows of Miss World Punjaban, this event was again greatest hit through out the world as it endorses Punjabi culture in Unique way.
