| Most charming and stunning Sukhlina Minhas from Ludhiana, standing 5'6 in her toes, 20 year old , convent educated
and a BBA student won the prestigious title of Miss PANJABAN held at
Punjabi Bhawan , Ludhiana on 2nd Oct 1998 . |
| A badminton player and an excellent classical
dancer Sukhlina scored the best amongst the screened 16 participants
from Northern India. She stunned the audience by her mystifying charm
and proved to be a perfect blend of beauty and brains. She impressed
the jury the most with her talent, traditional looks and dance. She
performed a dance on the tunes of the song "Lal Ghagra Saleti
Chadar Kurti Shahi Di" sung by Asha Bhosle. |
| After winning the title she visited Singapore,
Malaysia and Thailand to spread the warmth, love and affection related
to Punjabi Culture amongst the masses. The President of Singapore honored
her as the cultural ambassador for her contribution to Punjabi Culture.
Presently she is doing her Post graduation in NIFT at New Delhi. . |
| Ravdeep Ruby, a 5' 6" tall beauty and a
B.Sc. student from Moga bagged the title of 1st runner up. She danced
on the tunes of the song "Nachna Mai Ghund Kadke". |
| The 2nd runner up Amandeep Boparai a 5'4"
tall ETT student of Jagraon danced on the tunes of the song "Katia
Karun Teri Roon". |
| World famous Punjabi Singer Hans Raj Hans was the guest of honour on this occasion and he was awarded "Sabhiacharak-
Doot" award for his contribution to our Punjabi Culture . |
